Heartsaver/BLS Instructor Training

Please take the time in checking and printing all books, documents, certificates and exam certificates you need before the LIVE class. to ensure timely release of your Instructor Card. Students must present Picture Identification Card (State ID or Driver’s License preferred) on the day of the class

REQUIRED BOOKS AND CERTIFICATION:

BLS Provider Certification from American Heart Association - BeginCPR. classes
​
​
*If you are unable to bring the required books, BeginCPR will loan you the required books (printed or e-book) for that class date only, you will still need to purchase your own book.

ONLINE PORTION
​
BLS Instructor Essentials Completion Certificate (Please purchase and complete prior to your Instructor Training Class, Instructor Certification will not be processed without all required documentations

​CLASSROOM/LIVE PORTION
​
BLS Instructor Essentials Classroom Exam - passing grade must be 84% (4 incorrect answers out of 25 questions)
​
Watch videos (BLS Provider, BLS Instructor Essentials), guidance on how to use the AHA Instructor Network,
​
Skills Practice and Skills Testing on Basic Life Support skills
​
Completion and Submission of BLS Instructor Application Form
​
Completion and Submission of Monitoring Completion Form - Monitoring maybe done on the same day or if Instructor Candidate
​
Instructor Candidate will teach a BLS class (Renewal or Initial) - video presentation, instructor presentation, skills evaluation, facilitating a written exam and instructor trainer will provide guidance on issuance of Ecards and submission of roster.

LAST STEP: ALLIGNING WITH TRAINING CENTER WILL BE DONE AT THE END OF THE CLASS WITH THE INSTRUCTOR’S GUIDANCE.

INSTRUCTOR RENEWAL FEES - $200.00 (within 30 days of expiration of your 2 year certification)
NO ALIGNMENT FEES OR ANY FEES.
