BLS Instructor Training​

Please take the time in checking and printing all documents, certificates and exam certificates you need before the LIVE class. to ensure timely release of your Instructor Card.

If you have not taken the course yet, please check our class dates below.  You can also check if taking the Provider Course is available that day.   
BLS Provider Certification from American Heart Association


*If you are unable to bring the required books, we will loan you the required books (printed or e-book) for that class date only, you will still need to purchase your own book.

ONLINE PORTION​

BLS Instructor Essentials Completion Certificate.  Please purchase and complete prior to your Live Instructor Training Class, Instructor Certification will not be processed without all required documentations

​​​CLASSROOM/LIVE PORTION​
 

  1. BLS Instructor Exam - In person written exam- passing grade must be at least 83% (5 incorrect answers out of 30 questions)​

  2. Watch videos (BLS Provider, BLS Provider Instructor Essentials)

  3. Guidance on how to use the AHA Instructor Network

  4. ​Skills Practice and Skills Testing on BLS Provider Skills

  5. Instructor trainer will provide guidance on issuance of Ecards and submission of roster.


INSTRUCTOR PAPERWORK FORMS SUBMISSION

  1. Instructor Candidate Application

  2. PALS Provider Certificate - BLS Provider Certification from American Heart Association

  3. PALS Instructor Essentials Certificate BLS Instructor Essentials Completion Certificate.

  4. PALS Instructor Exam - In person written exam

  5. Completed Monitoring Form - Instructor Candidate will teach a BLS class (Renewal or Initial) - video presentation, instructor presentation, skills evaluation, and facilitating a written exam.  This maybe done on the same day or can be scheduled at a later date within 6 months of the Instructor Training Date.  (Instructor Certificate will not be issued until this is completed)

 

​Instructor Certification Process after all forms are submitted may take up to 21 days to be processed but can be sooner (usually about one week)

Begin CPR, LLC is an authorized Training Provider of American Red Cross. American Red Cross Cards Issued will be issued by our Training Center Begin CPR, LLC or any of our Training Sites, Ocampo Family Wellness & Training and Begin Classes.

To keep classes safe and focused, only registered participants may attend. Pets aren’t allowed, except service or emotional support animals. Please notify us at least 48 hours before class, and be prepared to provide documentation if requested.
