How to Access your American Heart Association Instructor-Led Class
BLS ONLINE EXAM
Step 1: Create Your AHA Atlas Account

After enrolling in your class, go to the AHA website: atlas.heart.org

Click Sign Up and create your account.

Step 2: Select the Correct Time Zone (California Students)
When creating your profile, you will be asked to select a UTC time zone. For California use the following:

Standard Time (PST) → UTC-8
(early November to mid-March) -
Daylight Saving Time (PDT) → UTC-7
(mid-March to early November)
✅ Example: In September, California is on Daylight Saving Time (PDT), so choose UTC-7.
Step 3: Enroll in the BLS Online Exam

Go to the official AHA course link:
https://elearning.heart.org/course/416 -
Sign in, then select Launch this Course.

You must score 84% or higher to pass.
Step 4: Submit Proof of Completion

Download, take a screenshot, or take a photo of your score report.

Present it to your instructor in person OR email it to:

Or directly to your instructor’s email.
