Service Description

**Prerequisites** * Current AHA ACLS & PALS Provider certification. * If you do not have a current PALS Provider certification, you may enroll in our PALS Provider course at https://www.begincpr.net/ahapalspears or contact Cristina at **510-221-9331** or **[Cristina@BeginCPR.net](mailto:Cristina@BeginCPR.net)** to determine if the provider course can be completed on the same day (schedule permitting). **Required Before Class (Not Included in Tuition)** Complete both online Instructor Essentials courses before attending the live session: * ACLS Instructor Essentials: https://shopcpr.heart.org/acls-instructor-essentials-online-core * PALS Instructor Essentials: https://shopcpr.heart.org/pals-instructor-essentials-online-core **Required Course Materials (Not Included)** **ACLS** * ACLS Instructor Manual eBook * ACLS Provider Manual eBook **PALS** * PALS Instructor Package (includes Instructor Manual, Provider Manual, Reference Card, and Course Videos on USB) **Live Classroom Training Includes** * ACLS & PALS Provider course review * Skills testing and instructor coaching * ACLS & PALS Instructor written examinations * ACLS & PALS Instructor Training * PEARS Instructor Training (included) Instructor candidates will also participate in a live provider course by observing instruction, evaluating skills, assisting with megacodes, and participating in an instructor debriefing and Q&A to prepare them to teach their own classes. MONITORING: ​Will be done on the day of the class or Instructor candidate may schedule this at after the Instructor Training. (Live/Classroom). Instructor Candidate will teach ACLS and PALS (Renewal or Initial) - video presentation, instructor presentation, skills evaluation, facilitating a written exam and instructor trainer will provide guidance on issuance of Ecards and submission of roster.
