Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association© PALS. You will receive your PALS eCard on the day of the class-Two Year Certification. Non-Traditional Training (Initial/Update) - You must complete the FREE Precourse Self-Assessment and Work prior to class for links and information go to - or go to - Score of at least 70% before taking the PALS Course. * Once a student has passed the Precourse Self-Assessment, they will gain access to the Precourse Work video lessons. * All video lessons must be reviewed before entering the classroom. * Students must print their successful Precourse Self-Assessment score report and course completion certificate and bring it with them to class. Open Resources (ACLS Manual can be purchased at If you bought a book but are unable to bring your book to the classroom, we will allow you to use our book for that day only Course Description PALS is based on simulated clinical scenarios that encourage active, hands-on participation through learning stations where students will practice essential skills individually, as part of a team, and as team leader. Realistic simulations reinforce the following key concepts: proficiency in basic life support care; recognizing and initiating early PALS management of peri-arrest conditions; managing cardiac arrest; identifying and treating ischemic chest pain and acute coronary syndromes; recognizing other life-threatening clinical situations (such as stroke) and providing initial care; PALS algorithms; and effective resuscitation team dynamics. AHA PALS taught to AHA guidelines- topics Included in course ECG, Airway Management, drug administration, Tachycardia/Bradycardia, Cardiac Arrest, Team Dynamics, Post Cardiac Arrest Care after ROSC, Acute MI and Stroke. Course Length: 2 to 3 hours (This is based on a class size of 1 to 3 students)
